Many of us moved our workouts to our basements during the pandemic and learned how nice it is to skip the drive to the gym. According to The Washington Post, the profits of fitness equipment retailers more than doubled to $2.3 billion from March to October 2020. Treadmill earnings skyrocketed by 135 percent and as for bikes, revenue almost tripled.
Unfortunately, it's expensive to outfit your home with enough equipment to keep an exercise routine interesting — the savings from the fitness studio membership fees aren't enough to offset the prices that can reach thousands of dollars. Luckily, right now you can finally add some new equipment to your home gym with the Presidents' Day sale at Dick's Sporting Goods.
For a limited time, you can save up to 40 percent off on treadmills, rowers, a touch mirror and more. Although some of them require a separate subscription service to participate, it'll ultimately pay for itself over time.
We've spotlighted eight deals that caught our attention, but the entire inventory is worth checking out. During this Presidents' Day weekend, snag any favorite now before others get the same idea and they sell out (again).
NordicTrack Commercial 2450 Treadmill
This machine, from industry leaders Nordictrack, features a cushioned deck and built-in fans, and it can reach a speed of 12 mph. Thanks to its EasyLift function, no matter where this is placed, it'll fold up easily for storage. It'll also include a 14" smart HD touchscreen and Bluetooth headphone connectivity.
Wrote one satisfied fan: "I got this product about a month ago. I am so happy that I did! It is very well made and very heavy-duty. It also fits in a relatively small room. I use the iFit program with my treadmill, and it is so motivating, I barely feel like I am working out! You can also access iFit classes using your own device, such as a smartphone, tablet or smart TV and use it unpaired and still get the benefits."

NordicTrack EXP 10i Treadmill
Though a less expensive treadmill option, the EXP 10i's quality remains superior, and the markdown is outstanding (42 percent!). The main differences include a slightly smaller touchscreen (10" vs 14") and, alas, it does not have the fold-up feature. (Guess you'll have to leave it out and keep using it.)
Wrote a fan: "This is an awesome treadmill for anyone looking to get active at home. Whether I’m walking, running, or hiking, this machine has great shock absorption - much better than any I’ve been on before! It has an impressive range of incline and decline, but my favorite feature is the iFit workouts! I love that the treadmill automatically adjusts to different paces and inclines depending on the workout I’m doing. It helps me to stay motivated in my workouts when there is a trainer right there in front of me!"

NordicTrack RW600 Rower
Seeing as rowing is a preferred form of cardio for many people (its low-impact nature means a lot less wear and tear on your joints), you might want to take a serious look at the NordicTrack RW600. Some highlights include 26 digital resistance levels, 10 levels of adjustable air resistance and an ergonomic molded seat. At just $1,000, it's a lot less wear and tear on your wallet too!

Sole E35 Elliptical
Ellipticals are another less-impactful exercise mode that also work the upper and lower body, and the Sole E35 is a stellar option. Not only does it offer 10 integrated workouts based on exercise level, but there's a pulse-grip heart rate monitor and chest strap–compatible heart rate tracker. A built-in fan keeps you cool from start to finish.
"I am very happy with this purchase," raved one fan. "This elliptical provides smooth and quiet motion. It works out well for both my husband and I who have very different fitness levels. Time will prove quality, but so far we are very happy with the purchase.

Bowflex M6 Max Trainer
Think of the Bowflex M6 Max Trainer as both an elliptical and treadmill in one. You can work out to 40+ global routes that automatically adjust to your speed, and there's even a magnetic media rack for tablet or smartphone. A one-year subscription to the JRNY app valued at $149 is also included, making this $200 discount especially attractive.

NordicTrack S22i Studio Cycle
Back on the NordicTrack tip, the S221 stationary bike boasts a 22" rotating HD smart touchscreen, a pair of 3 lbs. dumbbells and a 30-Day iFIT family membership. Oh, and right now it's half its usual price!
"It’s like having a whole exercise studio in your own home!" reports one buyer. "Cycling classes and scenic rides, yoga and strength training classes. A year of iFit classes are included at no charge!"

Echelon Reflect Touch Mirror
If you truly don't have space for the aforementioned equipment, perhaps a touch mirror device is the best option to get a full-body workout without compromising your living quarters. Live classes include yoga, pilates, strength, boxing and, for extra attention, one-on-one trainer session capabilities.
Added another reviewer: "I've always lacked motivation to get up and go to the gym. It's so much easier and convenient to do from home. It's like having a personal trainer at my disposal whenever I feel like working out, on my schedule. I get excited when I see new classes available and look forward to even more new content."

Fitness Gear Multi-Purpose Mat
Protecting floors, carpet, etc should be a priority when purchasing large fitness equipment. This multi-purpose mat is not only non-slip and easy to clean but also functions as a sturdy, comfy surface for stretching, aerobics, yoga and more.
Wrote a satisfied customer. "We purchased this mat to go under our new spin bike to protect the floor. It does exactly what it is supposed to. It is soft on top, but also slightly more rigid than a yoga mat (and much thinner). We purchased a second one to go under our treadmill as well."
