How to Play
Match pairs of identical open stones to remove them from the playing field. Edo-themed tiles may be matched with each other. Clear each board as quickly as you can.
- Starting the Game
- Select the Play button on the right side of the welcome screen to bring up the level select screen.
- The game has 366 different board layouts.
- You can play the levels in any order.
- Your web browser saves how long it took you to beat each board.
- Under the Play button are buttons for how to play Help and More Games.
- The lower left corner of the welcome screen has a language select drop down.
- The lower right corner of the welcome screen has buttons for controlling game settings, social media sharing, and reading game developer information.
- Select the Play button on the right side of the welcome screen to bring up the level select screen.

- Use your mouse left click button to select an open stone & then select another identically matching open stone to remove the pair from the screen.
- Touchscreen devices
- Tap the screen with a finger to select an open stone & then select another identically matching open stone to remove the pair from the screen.
- Controls & indicators
- The game controls are in the right rail.
- From top to bottom the buttons are pause, shuffle tiles, take a hint, control game sound, control game music, and full screen mode.
- Your level play time is shown in the bottom right corner.
- The level select screen indicates which levels you beat by showing your best level completion type on each board.

- You can only match open stones.
- Open stones are stones which do not have a stone directly on top of them and at least one side (left or right) is free.
- Open stones & stones which are not open have the same color, but only open stones can be selected. Open stones have a goldish outline when selected.
- Identical matching
- This game has some tiles associated with Japanese culture including tiles that are considered season tiles & tiles that are considered flower tiles.
- Seasons can be matched with any other seasons. The following tiles are treated as seasons: Sakura flower, Koinobori (fish-type wind sock), Kanazawa gold leaf fan, and Daruma (good luck monster).
- Flowers can be matched with any other flowers. The following tiles are treated as flowers: Mount Fuji, Pagodas, Geisha, and Shinto Shrines.

- In this game you play one level at a time as an isolated game.
- You can play the boards in any order & can replay previously beat boards.
- There are 366 different board layouts to choose from.
- The level select screen shows your best time on each level.
- Many early levels are quite easy and can be completed in a minute or two.
- Some of the levels near the end of the game might take 5 or 10 minutes to beat.
- In this game you play one level at a time as an isolated game.
- Scoring
- This game does not score points, but instead tracks how long it took you to beat each level.
- Using hints or shuffling tiles does not cost you a time penalty in this game.
